I’ve had a busy weekend.

On Saturday I worked all day. In a beginning to Harry Potter Summer (the countdown to July 21st), we got in a lot of potter stuffage. One thing we got in is these huge sorting hats. They really are cool. I wore one of them all Saturday. I’m pretty much the only person who wears the hats we get in for each season but I have fun with it.

I wore it Sunday morning but not in the afternoon (got tired of it falling off and everything). Sunday afternoon a lady called in. I answered and asked how I could help her…

She said “Yesterday I came in and I handed this girl my card because I didn’t notice you had the swiper. I can’t find my Visa card so I think she never gave it back.” She then said confidentially “She was wearing a witch hat” like that explained the whole thing.

I’d like to note now that I am VERY conscious of people’s credit cards. They hand it to me, I check the signature, if not signed I ask for ID, I swipe the card, and I hand it back. Other people there have gone through too much stuff if they set it down or forget about it so I always make a conscious effort. I always give cards back and have never once lost, misplaced, or forgotten to return one.

However, because I like Harry Potter and am work-spirited, I must be a witch. And, with the assumption of witchery, I must steal credit cards.

When I told her that I was the only one wearing the hat the day before she said “Oh” like “Oh, you” and “Oh, now I’ve been caught talking shit about you.”

I did get G to take a picture of me in it with my phone so I’ll post it in a day or so. Can’t now cuz I’m not on my computer.
