A Message For You
Life, Other July 13th, 2007Hey everyone. I’m babysitting tonight and I’m showing the two boys about the Internet and the World Wide Web. They don’t believe that if they type something here, that anyone in the world could read it if they want. So they’re going to say hi and I hope you respond with comments so that they believe me.
Since they’re still young, I’ve had them choose “new” names for themselves. They call themselves Richard and The Animal.
Richard says:
hello everybody i am 9 I hope you are haveing a good life i am going to have skye type the rest because i type slow. If you type back I hope you respond with a good paragraph. When you go online do not do anything violent. I hope you have a good time whatever you are doing. How are you doing? I hope you respond. Please write back. Thank you.
The Animal says:
What up ya’ll ok skye will type now. I am ten years old and I am great in baseball. You ya’ll should pick up a baseball and start throwing balls. It is tough when you first start playing baseball but when you play in season it gets easier. *pause while the brothers wrestle* Do you like baseball? But if you do take my advice. Later ya’ll.
Skye says:
Ok. Their bedtime is in four hours so please comment by then. Please? XP Time to watch Hannah Montana.

Hello, Richard. I am having a good life, thank you for asking! But yeah, sometimes it can get violent and risking when youngsters go online. Not just young people, but even older people! They risk themselves in dangerous situations. I hope you won’t do the same.
Hi The Animal! I heard baseball is tough. I’m glad you are good in that sport and that you have a strong point in your athletic skills. Keep it up!
EW Hanna Montana.

To The Animal: Baseball is fun! My brother plays it, and I played softball for a year a while back. I play catch with him once in a while. Hitting is so hard!
To Richard: Hi! I’m Stephanie and I’m 16 years old. I don’t do violent things online. In reality, most people don’t. If you practice typing more, you’ll get faster and faster.
To Skye: How do you know that they’ll believe that this isn’t you typing?

Stephanie: Guess you’ll just have to trust me. But I certainly wouldn’t talk about baseball and violence. o_O

Thank you for writing back. You wrote really nice things. And please write back. Again. Thank you.

(mssg from skye: I asked “the animal” how I could prove it isn’t just me and he said I don’t need to)
Leo: Thank you for saying that. And that’s very nice for someone online saying that. Some people really try to get kids to come with them but you didn’t do that.
Stephanie: Well, hitting isn’t so hard because if you be connected with the ball and keep your eye on it and you’ll hit it.

To Richard: Hey! I’m Aelyn, and I’m doing great, thanks for asking! I hope you’re doing fine too. Violence is bad and staying away from it would be the right thing to do. I don’t do anything violent online, so don’t worry.
To The Animal: Baseball is a fun game. I used to play a long time ago but not anymore. The last time I picked up a ball to throw it to someone, the ball flew over and way past the person.

To Josh:
Richard says: Thank you for writing back. I hope you have a good supper (Skye told me you were making supper for you and your dad) and whatever you’re doing, have fun with it.
*pause for watching wrestling*
The Animal says: We’re not fighting anymore. But thank you for asking. But we will handle it tomorrow (Skye says we can’t tonight) as in me, The Animal, and the “Richard” *sarcasm* in a wrestling match.
Richard says: No, we won’t have a wrestling match. And if I fight him I will beat him and he will cry. So we won’t have a match.

To Richard: Hi! Apparently I have been down in the dumps for the past week then gained more than a bit of happiness after that. Fall Out Boy is coming here in the Philippines and I am very much excited.
To The Animal: I haven’t tried baseball, but we did softball once for our PE class and it was okay, I guess. But I’m not very much good at it. I like soccer and basketball, though, which is a bit ironic since it’s requires more strength and agility and I happen to have a weak heart and lungs. But who knows, maybe my lungs and heart would get exercised through the process, right?
To Skye: I do hope I get one of the best tickets since I’m really dying to see them up close. Right now, I’m budgeting myself real bad since I don’t want to ask my parents for money. The only income I have is the allowance my parents give me everyday, excluding Saturdays and Sundays, but I am really hoping to save more money for the tickets. Talk to you soon! *HUGS*

Aww they’re so cute! (Oh what… it’s over four hours now… I didn’t get to reply!)
I’ve never really babysat any kids before. When my little cousins come over I’m in charge and I play computer games with them and my parents call me naive lol. But really, their computer games are much more violent than mine.
