NaNoWriMo Week 1
Events, NaNoWriMo 2007 November 8th, 2007Summary: In the past week I have written for a total of 8 hours and 45 minutes, totaling 32 pages and 10,025 words. Also known as five chapters, though half of chapters three and four were already written. Seeing that it took me over six months to write 2 chapters, it really is amazing that in one week (or actually five days since I took two off), I’ve written 5 chapters. Woo-hoo for NaNoWriMo.
So, for those of you who have been wondering what all these protected and chaptered posts have been, it’s my story. All glorious 76 pages and 7 chapters of it. If you’re interested in reading it as it is written, comment me here and let me know. If I know you well enough that I trust you, I’ll send you the password.
Day 1: 2 hours, 4 pages, 1281 words
I was busy throughout the day but I finally got a chance to write tonight from 9pm to 11pm. I was planning on heading off to bed at 10pm because of class tomorrow but couldn’t stop. Just ask Trisha.
Day 2: 1 hour, 5 pages, 1705 words
I got really into it today, reminescing and getting so into it that I wrote so much in such short time. For those of you reading my story as it is written, I’ll be adding the chapters as they are written so it should hopefully be more frequent cuz of nanowrimo.
Day 3: 2 hours and 15 minutes, 8 pages, 2328 words
hehemwahaha. Entire chapter. *squeels*
That finished off the first fourth of my story. Very very excited.
Day 4: took a break
Day 5: 1 hour, 6 pages, 1784 words
The majority of chapter six written. Still need to expand it and write more for it, though.
Day 6: 2 hour 30 minutes, 9 pages, 2753 words
I finished off Chapter 6 by adding in 141 words to the end. It’s a shorter chapter but it works out ok. I’m kind of disappointed in the way things are playing out in chapter seven; not enough of the emotion is captured, I think and what I planned to take place in 10 pages only turned out to be 6. So now I’ll either have to expand, whick I dont feel like doing right now, or combine what I planned for the next chapter into chapter seven as well. We’ll see. But for now I’m taking a break.
I came back afterwards and wrote for another hour, expanding what I had and then writing three more pages after that. I broke the 10k mark!
Day 7: Day off

Wow that is amazing. As you know, I’ve already given up though–on NaNo but not my novel per se. Do you read back and proofread though? I do that and that’s why it takes me heck of a long time grrr.
Response: Yeah, I went back and read and proofread and edited. And it was taking a while which is prolly why I took today off too. Haha. Will make myself start again tomorrow. See, Im in this for getting used to writing more often and not the word count. Thats more important to me. Because that will get me writing more good things year round rather than one not-as-good thing in Nov. So I understand you wanting to leave the word count behind. But dont give up on writing frequently.

Hah, finally, someone gets to settle *back* down at school after break. Apologies - the teachers find it amusing to bombard us with assignments on the first day back. xD
Anywho, the moral of NaNoWriMo is that sometimes it takes extremes for us to be “productive” - especially when it comes to writing xD No offence intended on any part…^^;
Oh yeah, think I’d be welcome enough to read the story? Pretty pwease? *puppy eyes* good luck working on it, anyhow! Cheers =)

Ooo. A book. I don’t think I can type so much. I will probably write 200 words and give up.
Congratulations and keep it UP!
