Gramma
Family, Gramma December 29th, 2007The day December 28 is cursed. 12 years ago on that day, my dad left me. 2 years ago on that day, I got in a serious car accident. And yesterday on that day, I found out that my Gramma was put in the hospital because she lost 30-40ish% of the blood in her body.
Based on what I’ve learned from her, my aunt, and Aelyn’s (the very super-smart med student) guesses, she’s been gradually bleeding internally for who knows how long most likely from a fall (she’s unsteady, has osteoporosis, and is old, etc.). It’s most likely from somewhere in her stomach or organs in there because she saw some dark black stuff in her stool/poop that had to have been dried blood. So, tomorrow she’s having surgery where they go in and try to find out where the blood is coming from. And, also tomorrow, I’m making the five-hour drive up there to see her.
So I won’t be here. I can check email. I can check website comments. And I can do some other random things. (internet on phone). But I don’t know how often I’ll check so don’t expect anything.
I know you all are from all over and belive in different religions. So if we all pray to our own Gods, we’re sure to have all of them covered. And, thus, whichever is real will therefore be reached. Please keep her in your thoughts.

Gosh, I am so sorry to hear that. I’m going to pray for her, you can count on that. My sister was also confined to the hospital since December 28 (wow, what a coincidence) because of pneumonia or something and I really hope she’ll get released tomorrow. We really don’t want her to spend the New Year inside a hospital room.
I really hope my sister and your grandma would be okay. Let’s hope for the best. *hugs*

Oh dear. My prayers are with you and your gramma for a speedy recovery, whatever the condition is. Keep us posted, kay?
(I hope in a few years time I’ll be a super smart med student like Aelyn too. xD)

Aw, I’m so sorry to hear about your grandma! I hope she gets better real soon…
Does she take aspirin regularly or something? Because that stuff really thins out your blood and makes it very easy for you to bleed, even when you don’t undergo an injury or a lot of impact. My own grandma actually was bleeding mysteriously like a few months back and it was really scary, but it was because she took too much aspirin… She’s better now, but she’s careful of what pills she takes. I hope you and the doctors figure out what’s wrong with your grandma soon so she can recover!

I’m really sorry for your grandmother and I hope she gets better soon. I don’t really pray since I don’t believe in any God whatsoever, but I will keep her in my thoughts. Lets hope my thoughts have some magical abilities.
I wish you all the best in the New Year.

Awww so sorry to hear that
*hugs*
My thoughts are with you, I hope she’ll be all right after the surgery.
I’ve been living with my grandma for all my life, so I can’t even imagine her seriously ill, or worse.
