When I’m on the computer, Bear is usually sleepying on/staring at me from the bed next to me. Every once in a while (read: a few times a day) he decides that he wants to be put down on the floor. When he’s there, he doesn’t go anywhere. He’ll usually then fall asleep under the bed.

I figured that the hard floor might be uncomfortable to lay on. So, when I saw a doggy bed in the story for 75% off, I got it for him. I put it on the floor between the bed and the computer. Whenever he wanted off the bed, I’d put him in the doggy bed.

But then he’d stand up, walk out of the bed, and lay down on the hard floor.

It’s been about a month and he still hadn’t stayed in it once.

So, I decided to make him get used to it. Maybe if he laid in it awhile it would take on his scent and he’d realize it was for him. So, I put the doggy bed up on top of the bed and I sat him in it. He looked around at the edges of it, looked up at me, walked in a circle for a few rounds, and settled down. He proceeded to get comfy and fall asleep.

Of course, the second I finish writing this post, he wakes up, climbs out of the doggy bed, and goes to sleep elsewhere. *sigh* At least it lasted 20-30 minutes this time…

EDIT: a few minutes later; I WIN! I WIN! He just climbed back into the bed, scratched around it to make it comfy, and went back to sleep! YES!
