800 Pages, 2 Days
Books, Life, University June 12th, 2008This was the first time in a long time that I was truly captivated by a book. I discovered a new book series and read the second and third books yesterday and today. Two 400 page books in two day. I couldn’t put them down.
Poison Study, Magic Study, and Fire Study by Maria V. Snyder.
The result? I put off all of the homework I have due. But I feel completely relaxed and happy for the first time in a few months. I think I really needed a break. And to be captured into such a vivid and magical world at the same time?
Now I have even less time to do all of this school work but I feel revitalized and it doesn’t bother me. I know I can do it and I’m happy to take on the challenge.
Taking a rest every once in a while is a good thing. If you need one, why not pick up those books?
By the way, I emailed the author and she’s really nice! 
The next book comes out this fall… hehe

i wanted to take out this summer to read but i’ve been working a lot. =[ i haven’t read a book since like the 8th grade, can you believe it? i just lost all passion for it i guess. i read gossip girl now but i hardly call that reading. -sigh- i’m a monster

I also wish we could talk more, but yea, busy busy busy!
Anyway, we’ll get into talking one of these days, I’m sure. Hahaha. Just don’t know when.
I’m glad you took the time off for a while. Getting to serious about school work can definitely drive people crazy so we really have to find the time to take the load off our shoulders. I know you’ll do good in that schoolwork of yours! Jia You! (It’s an expression in Chinese to cheer someone up.)
