NaNoWriMo October 12th, 2008
Last year, NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) kicked me in the metaphorical pants and I wrote 5 chapters of my story in one week (then proceeded to stop), whereas before it had taken me months to write 2 chapters.
In the last year since then, I’ve written 4 more chapters.
See, I NaNoWriMo differently than the usual crowd. I work on the same story I always work on. I write for content, not just whatever comes to mind (my usual process). It just gives me the motivation to sit and write more often than usual. And that’s priceless.
So, this November, here’s to at least 5 more chapters. Anyone wanna join me?
Once you sign up, why not friend me?

November is always the worst month for me - I’m either inundated with end-of-year assessments, or I’m working on a full-time basis. NaBloPoMo I can do though…

@Amanda: Ditto; that’s why I only managed for a week last time haha! I know I won’t get the 50k words, but it does keep me more focused, as the stats given show. Just thinking ahead to it, I’m currently typing away at Chapter 12 haha!

I decided to join NaNoWriMo again and I do hope I accomplish something by the end of the month (maybe even finish this story I’ve been cooking in my mind for a long time already). Thank you for inviting me to NaNoWriMo last year!
