Arranged Marraige

I’m going to up see my family soon as well as my bestfriend Effie, her dudeperson, and their chitlins. Effie’s oldest, her son Mick, is going to be starting school on the 20th of this month. As in first day of school ever. I was telling Josh, all proud-like since I’m Mick’s non-blood Aunt Skye, and he said: Hey, Emmy’s starting school too! Her and Mick are the same age! They should get married. Then we’d all be related!”

So, I went to Rissy (his sister, Emmy’s mom)’s Myspace and told her the story and said: “Just wanted to warn you that your brother is already planning Emmy’s wedding.”

Rissy responded back and said: “tell him I get to pick the music!!!!!!! LOL!!!!!”

So, I txted Effie and said: “Josh’s sister has a daughter micks age and josh just figured that out last night when I told him Mick is starting school cuz Emmy is too. He said: they should get married! Then we’d all be related. So I messaged his sis to warn her that josh is arranging Emmy’s wedding already and told her the story. She said: just tell him I get to choose the music!! So this side is a go if ur interested. Haha!”

Now, pretty much everyone Effie knows has been popping out baby girls. So, she said: “Haha, mick has eight girls to marry now! I do like the name Emmy though, and if she’s smart like her uncle (Josh).. all the other girls will hafta back off.. Mick needs a good wife..”

I responded and sent Effie to my myspace to go see pictures of Emmy and commented on Rissy’s myspace and told her to go to my pictures and go see Mick. They’re already betrothed and they haven’t even started kindergarden yet.

Josh’s niece and my nephew. Who woulda thought?

Cervical Cancer

My best friend Effie just texted me saying that she is “on her way” to cervical cancer. I’m not sure of the details yet. I’m not sure how bad it is. But if you know ANYTHING about cervical cancer, please let me know.

And, no matter what your religion, please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

EDIT 1:
She hasn’t called me yet but based on her text, she is either in Stage 0 or Stage 1. In Stage 0, it is “pre-cancerous” and cannot spread. Most women with it will be cured. In Stage 1, 95% will survive. In Stages 0-3, having a hysterectomy will most likely get rid of it unless it has spread, which can only occur in late Stage 3+. A hysterectomy removes the uterus so she wouldn’t be able to have any more kids but she already has 2, there is always the option of adopting, and at least she would be alive.

EDIT 2:
It’s stage 0. They did the biopsy and the nurse said that, during it, she took all of it out. She has another appointment in 3 weeks, in which they are going to see if any of it recurred. In Stage 0, only the outer tissue has anything. And, as I said in Edit 1, most women will be cured. I talked to her for about 15 minutes and let her talk it out. I’m VERY happy because she said that all day she’s been freaking but I helped calm her down. I’m mad at the doctor because he barely told her anything and all of the papers were in doctor-speak. By the end of the conversation, though, she said herself that she was going to be fine. *beams* My Effie is going to be ok.
