Tonight I spent an hour or two photo editing while chatting on MSN. If you guys visit my photoblog, you might remember the picture I took of Josh and his dad. Well, it was one picture of a whole shoot I did of them for practice with portrait photography. Tonight, I edited another two, merging them into one (what I call) split picture (see here).
So I sent the picture to everyone in that family and then was talking to Josh on the phone. I told him about the picture and how great it was and all. Later, I told Shadow about the convo…
Me says:
i was talking to josh and after i told him about the pics of his dad, he got quiet and i bugged him til he told me what was wrong
Me says:
he said “did you make one of my pictures”
Me says:

Me says:

Shadow says:

Shadow says:

Me says:
i said: i already did the one of both of u and i did these first cuz they intrigued me more. im doing urs next
Me says:
he said: my dad intrigues you more than me?
Me says:
-.-
Shadow says:
lmmfaooooooooo
Me says:
i said: no, i just took more pictures of him so it was more likely to find more intriguing ones
Shadow says:
thats hilarious lol
Me says:
u know what? im gonna blog it
Shadow says:
i was gonna tell you that!
Me says:
haha
Is it possible for this kind of thing to run in your blood? My mom did photography and so does my dad. Now I’m starting to get hooked.
I’ve been taking pictures on my own for a year or so now but now that I’ve been learning more about editing photos in Photoshop, I’ve progressed to taking better pictures.
I did a photoshoot of my cousin while I went up to visit my Gramma. I loved it so much that I called Arden to ask her about how she got into photography and what I needed to do to find out if I wanted to get into it more as a photographer for hire. She said to practice on friends, take lots of pictures, and that way if I were to be hired, I’d have experience with many different things.
Tomorrow I’m going to be photo-ing Josh, his dad, and their two cats. The ones of my cousin were more conceptual but they want more studio-like pictures, though I’ll probably stick in some outside ones too.
But I can’t only have them. So, if any of you people live in the Palm Beach area, want your picture taken for free*, and are willing to work with me, either leave me a comment or email me at skyefairy at gmail dot com.
*I will take the photos and do the image editing for free. I’ll email you the finished photos for free. If you want prints, you have to pay the cost (I go through KodakGallery.com) but I won’t add anything extra to their charge. I also retain all rights to the photos (like posting them on my sites for portfolio reasons, etc.), though I won’t do anything with them for profit.
